Red vs. Blue and how the American People Lose
Hello there again readers and welcome back to Coffee Break Liberty, a blog where we tackle books, news and many other things under the sun where liberty is a guiding principle. If this is your first time here we would like to extend a special warm welcome to you and hope you enjoy yourself while here.
Earlier this month we had the most important elections of our lives, the future of America was at stake! Just like the one before that…. And the one before that….. AND the one before that. In short, for those that some how still don’t know, the democrats took control of “The House of Representatives”. The blue wave we all heard about was kinda like half a wave, for those in office that are up for reelection in just two years. There were two things that stuck out to us most here at CBL though still not that surprising. One was the election of another Advent Socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, from NYC and the other was the huge play on identity politics by those on the left. In short, both are a huge insult to the intellect of the American people, or lack there of.
Electing another socialist but based on nothing but her last name is just embarrassing. Alexandria is of Puerto Rican descent in a district something close to 90% Puerto Rican. Is it any wonder she won? This is identity politics at it’s finest. People voting based on the color of people’s skin, what they do or don’t have between their legs and or their last name are just a few of many of the identities people will cast a vote upon. It is truly insulting to the American Republic that people vote this way. Don’t though think that it is just the democrats that do this, republicans do as well, just not to the same amount the left does. Even though after all the little bits of rage this might bring up, it is the American people that lose at the end.
It wasn’t the democrats or republicans, or left and or right that won the elections this month. It was the American people and our liberties that lost while it was the government that won the election. More of our rights will be attacked by this government that acts outside of the constitution on a daily basis. It is our freedom that is under jeopardy regardless of who is in power these days. Neither of the two parties are protecting all of our rights, or rather just doing their job when elected. What they do instead is come up with new ways to steal our wealth and us that to harm not only us but our neighbors.
Just remember though, the next election in 2020 will also be the most important election in our lifetime, pretty sure the same will be said about 2022 and 2024.
