How Voter Fraud is Part of the System in Yuma County
Hello there again readers, and welcome back to Coffee Break Liberty, a blog where I tackle books, news, and many other things under the sun where liberty is a guiding principle. If this is your first time here I would like to extend a special warm welcome to you and hope you enjoy yourself while here.
This post is one I never expected to write but I feel now that I should have years ago when this issue was first brought to my attention. In short, I will lay out how the voter fraud in Yuma county happens, it’s pretty simple, why it happens, and why nothing has ever been done about it. This post might get my page dropped off of certain platforms.. might not.. sometimes it is a blessing to have a small number of followers and readers.
There is a small town in Yuma County AZ named San Luis and it sits right on the border. It is so close to the border actually that the border runs through the middle of town, half is in Mexico, and the other half in Arizona. The common practice in this town is for party members of both parties to go door to door and buy ballots off of the people that live there. This has been going on for decades down there and has become a running joke in some circles as it is not even hidden these days. It’s a simple process where no one down there seems to care as nothing seems to ever be done about it.
This happens for two reasons mostly. First, the citizens of San Luis are complicit with these actions as the actions being taken by the party members aren’t that much different than what they are used to in Mexico and well now San Luis. It has become a tradition down there. The second reason this continues to happen is pretty simple, those that are in power to stop it don’t want to, because they benefit from it. The practice is very dishonorable but I guess if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying.
For the record too, this was all made clear to me while I worked with the Yuma County Libertarian Party from late 2016 to early 2018. I have seen it and all those that are involved with any party down there know. Additionally, I am NOT saying that the votes gathered in San Luis had much of an impact on the outcome in Arizona as a whole but for local elections these votes are valuable. I will also bring up that if that is happening in one border town, there is a good chance it is happening in many more along the southern border. Finally, I want to point out again that both the republicans and democrats do this in San Luis. It is a practice that needs to be stopped if people want the elections to be more honest. That said, why would anyone want that when they might benefit from it. Always look to those that benefit.
